I
Almost
Died
Anyway, I'm only taking three college classes this semester! So it should be better. Maybe. Possibly. Probably not.
Sooo... I've decided to turn this into more of an art blog. I'm going to try to get at least one piece of artwork done each week. Also, me and my friend are turning one of our RPs into a comic, so I'll put those up here when I get them finished as well.
So, following this idea, here is my newest creation!
This is The Fall of Gorthonon!
I finally finished it! I started this drawing back in
November, and it's been sitting in my sketchbook, half finished, for over two
months now. I couldn't concentrate on history today, so I drew
instead. I'm such a bad student!
I'm planning on going over it in Photoshop later to color it or at least go over the outlines and sharpen the details. I'm not going to do anything else with the physical copy, any edits I make are going to be digitally.
Anyway, me and my friends at school are doing a RP that mixes, like, three different video games and the D&D universe. It's pretty crazy. My two characters and my friend's character are from the same D&D plain. My character Dracona is a draconian, but not in the normal sense. She is the daughter of an elf and a dragon, so she isn't disgusting and evil. My other character is Karra, (I recycled the name from one of my OCs, but this is a totally different character) who is an elf. Both Dracona and Karra are mercenaries and paladins for Cyndor, the god of time. Cyndor is my friend's character, and I don't think he's anything like the legitimate deity.
I would like to make a note about the background. There are cliffs rising up on all sides, except where they happen to be fighting, where it drops of into another cliff. This rock formation was carved out by a gigantic waterfall that used to flow from the mountains that you see in the background. The river used to be the main water source for a city near the base of the cliff below where the characters are fighting. The demon that they are fighting, Gorthonon, is the demon of drought, and he completely parched the entire land and dried up the river. Our three characters have to defeat the demon in order to reverse the magic and save the city. They were well compensated for their efforts of course. Mercenaries don't to that sort of stuff for free.
it was done with a mechanical pencil and a 4B Derwent sketching pencil and it took about 12 hours.
Oh, I got a drawing tablet for Christmas, so you can expect digital art as well as traditional.
In closing, I'll leave you with my best works from 2012. Hopefully I'll be more consistent about posting now that I actually have a specific topic to focus on.

I do commissions if anyone's interested! (Don't go by the information that I have up at the moment, I'm going to change it soon)
Hopefully there will be a lot more to come!
Shadowhuntress out ;)
